Barbosa, Colombia—Colombia is a country with enchanting landscapes, from the ocean coast and mountains to the Amazon jungle. It has approximately 50 million inhabitants, and 75% of its population lives in urban areas.

The Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement has approximately 1,200 members in Colombia, many of which are young people. We have a missionary school located at the headquarters of the Colombian Union in Barbosa, Santander, north of the capital—Bogotá.

From August 9-14, a Colportage Seminar was held for the missionary school students and young people from across the country, encouraged by Sister Esperanza García Ruiz, the Colombian Union Colporteur Department Director.

Then, from August 16-29, the Youth Colportage took place in the city of San Gil, Santander, where the young people had the opportunity to apply their knowledge. There were forty-four participants and a support team. By the grace of God, approximately one-hundred books and five-hundred magazines were sold and thirty contacts were recorded for missionary visits.

It was a wonderful experience, and we felt the guidance and blessings of God in every detail. We ask for your prayers for the young people who participated and for the souls that were reached.

“The canvassing work should no longer be neglected. Many times I have been shown that there should be a more general interest in our canvassing work. The circulation of our literature is one very important means of placing before men and women the light that the Lord has committed to his church to be given to the world. The books sold by our canvassers open to many minds the unsearchable riches of Christ. CEv. 30.1.
