Dear brethren, Members of the Seventh Day Adventist Reform Movement:

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sister Alexandrina Silva. Sister Silva was a role model to those around her. During hectic and less than optimal circumstances, her smile, gentleness, and eagerness to minister through her hospitality was a testament on behalf of her character.

Sister Alexandrina was a dedicated wife who always supported her husband, Brother Davi P. Silva (GC President 2011-2015; 2015-2019) and made many sacrifices to travel alongside him and support him in his ministry. She put the happiness, health, and desires of others before her own. All she encountered, she blessed through her loving and compassionate nature. The legacy she leaves behind is faithfully recorded in the books of heaven by a merciful Father that loves each one of us.

The word of God says that “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints,” Psalm 116:15. God does not abandon His children in times of trouble. He will give comfort to the family during these difficult moments. We hope the Lord will shorten our suffering, that we may soon see Jesus coming and be reunited with our loved ones. On that day, God shall wipe away all tears from our eyes, and He will reunite Sister Alexandrina with her family.

Roanoke church will always have an empty seat. Today we join in a solemn moment of reflection on her life and legacy.

We dwell in the hope of the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus, a precious time when dear ones will be reunited forever.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Silva family.

Sincerely,

Liviu Tudoroiu, GC Secretary

On behalf of the General Conference Council and the GC Headquarters’ staff.
