“That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets: Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea, happy is that people, whose God is the Lord,” Psalm 144:13,15.
“Fathers and mothers who possess a piece of land and a comfortable home are kings and queens,” Country Living, p. 18.
To have or plant an organic garden in this era of agricultural revolution is a vital necessity, as vegetables are being contaminated with substances that are dangerous to our health and life.
There are different types of substances or poisons that are used for the cultivation of the fruits and vegetables in stores today. There are substances that cause hormonal disorders, others cause neuronal problems, and there are others that cause cancer and countless health problems.
Sick food will make its consumers sick. Toxic food will intoxicate.
An organic garden allows us to enjoy healthy, fresh food that is high in nutritional value.
With dedication and care, a family garden can be planted that keeps the entire family busy and is an effective means of preserving the life, health, and usefulness of each of its members.
With this in mind, the brethren in Colombia have begun an online series to educate all who wish to learn how to begin their own garden. The program is called “De Botas Puestas” (With Our Boots On) and airs live every Thursday at 3 pm (Colombia Standard Time) on the Colombian Union Facebook page.
All are invited to participate and learn!
