“The canvassing work, properly conducted, is missionary work of the highest order, and it is as good and successful a method as can be employed for placing before the people the important truths for this time.” 6T 313.
The purpose of the Colporteur Department develops evangelistic programs for church members through the canvassing work on a worldwide level and for all nationalities and cultures. Its Director supervises the colporteur work in units that already have a functioning department as well as develop the colporteur work in places that have no such work.
The Colporteur Department also holds training seminars and is responsible for providing canvassing material.
